I am a manager of a team of young DBAs. I want to encourage them to continually better themselves and become the best DBA they can. I wanted to find a good reference to
the characteristics of what would be an exceptional DBA. I found a few websites that would list different attributes, but I
really think that the e-book linked to in this Red-Gate page is my favorite.
The author Brad McGehee talks about how to become an Exceptional
DBA. He is often referencing SQL Server DBAs but it readily applies to
any DBA environment.
I really like chapter 12 and the GOYA principle.
Regards
Tim
